Do you remember how many Manchester Busker events you took part in, or attended?
"I don’t remember numbers. Maybe just one or two taking part. More attending. It was so long ago. But they are still represented by the ache of wanting more and better from a dull life now."
Do you have a particular lasting memories of any McrBskr occasions?
There was no competition between anybody. Just joy. Everyone seemed open."
What do you think made McrBskr so special?
"Because Manchester is special and people who love Manchester are special."
A considerable number of the original performers have gone on to form successful creative careers, and in some cases have gone to the top echelons of their profession. Any comments?
"I knew Henry Normal and Dave Gorman. That they have gone on to great things pleases me profoundly. It’s not always the good guys that win in this stinking world but when they do, we should roll back the carpet and dance."
Describe Chris Coupe in a sentence:
